The Heart

This ceramic sculpture represents a heart as a vessel of hope, faith, and connection to God. Its form embodies the intimate dialogue between human vulnerability and divine presence. Through the process of handbuilding with slabs, I shaped and re-shaped the piece, allowing the clay to reflect the journey of trust, surrender, and transformation. The surface and form carry the marks of making, symbolizing both the fragility and resilience of faith. This heart is not only a symbol—it is an active presence, a reminder that hope and divine connection live within us, even amidst uncertainty.
