I am a Mexican ceramic artist based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Through sculptural ceramics, my work explores themes of memory, cultural identity, and belonging. Influenced by her background in Architecture and Interior Design, I approach clay as a medium for investigating form, materiality, and personal narrative. My practice draws on experiences of migration, motherhood, ancestral knowledge, and connection to place, creating works that bridge intimate stories with shared cultural experiences. I currently works from her studio, Joy Clay Works.
